Fundraising For The Local Community

Helstonbury is very proud to have raised well over £90,000 for local causes. All this is down to all the bands and artists who give up their time for free and to all the ladies and gentlemen of Helstonbury who have kindly parted with their hard earned cash in the name of charity… Long may this continue… SYOTDF

Applications for revenue funding can be made by emailing Paul Turton on helstonbury@hotmail.com. We discuss all requests and assess needs to determine if a request is viable. We are always delighted to hear from members of the local community who are encouraged to contact us and make requests or recommendations for donations.

🎉 Celebrating the Amazing Impact of Last Year’s Helstonbury Festival!

We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of last year’s weekend of amazing music, great food and fabulous family and friends. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community and music enthusiasts, we were able to raise a substantial amount of money that has been put to some fantastic uses within our town.

Helston Bluebells U8 Girls at Helston Athletic FC Women Helston Athletic F.C: The amazing Helston Bluebells Under-8s have just received their brand-new football kits, proudly sponsored by Helstonbury! These young stars look fantastic and ready to take on their next challenge!

To show their appreciation, the team presented Helstonbury’s Paul Turton with a framed football shirt, as a thank you for the contribution to grassroots football.

Special shout out to Fez, who regularly helps coach the girls alongside Martin Northcott (Coach) and Mike Smith (Admin). With their guidance, the team is developing their skills and growing in confidence, ready to join the CGFL as Under-9s next season! Also pictured, from Helstonbury, Mark Tripconey.

Spreading Christmas Cheer at Coverack Gig Club! Today (15th December 2024) at the festive Christmas Carols and Cake event, Helstonbury was thrilled to present Coverack Gig Club with a cheque to fund a brand-new oar!

Wishing this fantastic club smooth seas and plenty of success in the coming year of competition—here’s to many more victories ahead!

🤸‍♀️ Swallows Gymnastics Club: Our young gymnasts have been given a significant boost with a donation towards a state-of-the-art sporting platform at the gym. This will help them improve their skills and achieve their dreams! 🤸‍♂️

🎤 Helston College: The future sounds even better at Helston College now, thanks to the festival’s donation towards a sound recording/PA system. Students will now have a top-notch audio setup to showcase their talents! (Sorry to any local houses)🎶

❤️ The Sparkle Foundation: We are proud to have supported the Sparkle Foundation, which helps local people through life’s toughest times. The festival’s donation will make a meaningful difference in their lives and having no one to turn to will become a thing of the past.❤️

🌸 Your Voice Cornwall: Mental health is crucial, and we’re glad to have contributed to Your Voice Cornwall’s mission of supporting the mental well-being of local women. Together, we can create a strong and caring community for everyone including the 1 in 4 of is suffering with a mental health condition.🌼

⛪ St. Michael’s Church: Our town’s historical heritage is essential to us, and we’re honored to have contributed to the restoration of the church bells. We’ll continue to hear that beautiful sound of celebration for years to come.

🌺 Flora Day Committee: We’re delighted to have supported the committee responsible for preserving our beloved Spring time tradition. Flora Day is special to all of us and it feels great to keep our cultural celebrations alive and thriving!

⚽ RNAS Culdrose Teams: Sports play a vital role in our community, and we’re excited to have sponsored the under-18 Lynx and Panthers boys teams, along with the Culdrose under-15 Herons and Helston Halos girls teams. You’re all looking fantastic in your shiny new strips. Best of luck in your competitions!

🏃‍♀️ Coose Trannack Cross Country Runners: We are thrilled to ensure the continuation of local athletics by donating to the Coose Trannack Cross Country Runners. Let’s keep the passion for sports alive in our town and give ambitious kids and adults something to be a part of.

🎶 Culdrose Military Wives Choir: The festive season got merrier last year for the Culdrose Military Wives Choir with their new purple Christmas hats, courtesy of the festival’s donation. Spread the joy through music!
